PATIENCE PAYS OFF AS MAGPIES STORM THROUGH
A second half flurry of goals saw Wimborne Town storm through to the semi-finals of the Dorset Senior Cup as they thrashed Gillingham Town 6-1 at Cuthbury.

The Magpies led by just by a Scott Joyce goal at the interval. The second half proved a different story as Joyce added his second of the game, Sean Smith hit two and Pete Smith and Steve Whitcher also put their names on the score sheet.

Wimborne skipper Paul Roast said: "We were told before the game that we had to be patient. We failed to put all our chances away in the first half, but our patience paid off after the interval."
