DAILY ECHO LAUNCH 'BAG A BARGAIN' Print E-mail

The Bournemouth Daily Echo has announced the launch of it's Bag a Bargain Campaign starting from Monday 1st December through to Christmas. The aim of the campaign is to help shoppers by showing them where they’ll get the most for their money, and also to help local businesses by letting shoppers know what they have got to offer.

How does it work?

You’re running a discount or special offer. Let the echo know about it, and they will tell their 90,000 readers and 130,000 web readers – at no cost to your business.

The Echo will be running a page in the paper every day from Tuesday 2nd December until Christmas featuring all the local businesses who’ve let them know about their bargains, so their readers know exactly where to spend their cash.

What to do if you have an offer to promote?

•    If you’re running an offer or a discount, let the echo know. They will add your name to the free listings, featured every day in the Daily Echo and online.

•    You could even offer extra money off or a free gift to readers who bring in the Bag a Bargain page from the Daily Echo.

•    If you’re not already offering a discount you can still take part – why not offer 10 per cent off or a free gift to shoppers who bring in the Bag a Bargain page from the Daily Echo and they will add your name to the list.

There will also be very limited opportunities for exclusive online discount vouchers for readers to download.

The Bourneouth echo said "We want to support our local businesses – that’s why we started our Keep Trade Local campaign and that’s why we’ve decided to run Bag a Bargain at no cost to them"

What the Echo will need from you:

•    Details of your discount offer. The simpler, the better – the listing will include your business name, address and brief details of your offer.

You also need to provide the date the offer runs out.  Just email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it with the relevant information and they will do the rest.

•    If you’ve got a more complicated deal, why not think about taking one of the daily online voucher spots – also free. These are limited, so if you want a spot, talk to your Echo advertising rep.
